Homeowner’s insurances Recs

We were dropped from our homeowners insurance provider (Farmers) due to high fire risk. Need to find a new provider asap.

Can the community please share which providers they are using? Any and all recommendations are welcome!

Thank you!

Erynn, contact a Colorado homeowner's insurance broker, most deal with several insurance companies and they know which companies are insuring homes in our area. They'll do all the searching, pricing, and paperwork. Saves a lot of headaches.

There have been some pretty good homeowner insurance discussions in the BB since about mid-December.  Just search "insurance."
Here's a re-post of one dated 1/23/25 from Greg and Cindy (Bar K folks) that I thought was interesting:

"I am happy to report I have found an option to State Farm.  I went with an independent broker who set me up with Lloyds of London at a rate that was comparable with what I was paying State Farm before without warning they doubled my premium.  Glad to be done with State Farm especially after seeing what they tried to do in LA.  Undecided

Here's the broker's contact info below if you'd like to talk with her.  She has property up near Allenspark BTW.

About a year ago, we cancelled our home insurance with Allstate because they were making fire prevention demands that were ridiculous (e.g., they did an inspection, sent a photo of our yard with snow on it, and said we needed to keep the grass cut!).
Our search for a replacement came down to State Farm and Farmers, and we went with State Farm because they were less stringent about inspecting our property to qualify us and because they were a little less expensive.
